swift shocks

Hi folks well alko shocks have arrived for my charisma 620 but the instructions are very poor , help needed what hole do I use on the chassis Top- Middle or bottom . Its a twin axle . Thanks in advance Brian.

Hi Brian

AlKo are on their summer break until Monday 11th August but if you call their technical department on

01926 818669 and leave your name and number they say that somebody will get back to you.

I have an Abbey Vogue 620 and I'm thinking of fitting shock absorbers in the next few months so let us know how you get on and if they make much difference when towing your caravan.

Dunno about twin axles, but the ALKO info gives the shock absorber length when the axle is unloaded (ie hanging down when the van is jacked up)and the distance between the axle centre line and the top shock absorber mounting.

For all colours the shock absorber length is 255mm eye to eye and the top eye to axle centreline is 265-270mm for Green, 235mm for blue and 265mm for both red and black. So if you use a ruler you should find the optimum hole. Mines a red shocker but fitted to a single axle van and using a ruler the optimum hole was the middle one.
