Shouldn't that be:

I tend to laugh at stupid intellectually-challenged schoolboy person type stuff

Well, there you go - I couldn't be PC if I tried. If I had to think about every single word I said/typed, then I'd never speak again!!!

(LB, that's not a cue for you to say "if only!!", lol).
Val, you should be doing a very important PR job for some local council (that's if you aren't already!)

A young girl once got into difficulties in our local swimmimg pool after completing six lengths.
As she reached the side the pool attendant said "Big breaths, big breaths"
Her reply.................
"Yeth, and I'm only thixteen"

Please someone tell me that the above by LADA wasn't the joke that got deleted

BTW Parksy, thanks for correcting the sexist post made by a honourable member of this forum.

I've no idea what the deleted joke was but I'm guessing that the one from LADA wasn't the one which was too near the knuckle to be left on.
I felt that it was the least that I could do Lord B, b.t.w it may be considered sexist to accuse someone of sexism

I think it is time to let the matter rest .The comment by Parksy was well written and put over in a nice manner instead of a" Holyer than thou " way preferred by some contributors.
We all use our judgement when swapping jokes and I considered mine to be harmless and non offensive, but as Parksy said, they remove posts not for personal reasons but as servants of Haymarket.I accept this.
What I have found surprising is the narrow mindedness and petty nature of some contributors, and the easy way in which they are upset.
BUT each to his own and I will leave the jokes to somebody else.
I hope this will now close, but at least it caused a reaction.

Heh! heh! heh!
But wouldn't it be nice if the said honourable member realised we are now in the age of diversity and embraced this all encompassing way of life

You say that you never saw this offending joke. Well neither did I but as time unfolds I'm getting even more confused which isn't too hard in my dotage
smiley-laughing.gif

I understood that it was RogerB who posted the offending missive and was apparently banned. He is still posting (see above) which confuses me even more.
Pray tell, and spare my blushes, that there weren't two offending posts
smiley-surprised.gif

If so then I must be slowing up because that will mean I missed two such posts

Roger B was never banned from the site.
You must be referring to a posting in Towing Driving and safety which did result in a user being banned from the site , but it was absolutely nothing to do with RogerB.

As Roger has himself made it clear that this topic has run enough, it is right to lock it now
