I saw this story in the Northumberland Gazette and feel very sorry for Chis Calvert, the castle Director. He has gone out of his way to provide daytime parking at the castle for motorhomes, in his words "at the same charge as cars £2 a day and always try to position them with views out over the beach rather than inland."

He and his staff have also been battling for many years (suffering verbal abuse and threats on occasion) against the ignorant and selfish people who insist on camping along the Wynding road despite knowing of the restrictions and the valid reasons for them.

Unfortunately I think the measures which have been taken will also prevent people from daytime parking along the road but, as far as I now, parking in the car park is still possible. Ive written to Chris for clarification.

Yet again, it appears that the respectful majority are the victims of the self-interested minority

I've received the usual fast response from Chris Calvert:
"Camper vans and motorhomes are still welcome to come and park in castle car park for £2 a day. They can park in the council car park below us for free. Smaller camper vans the traditional VW, T25s etc can fit in the bays down the Wyndings during the day but must not stay the night."

TORONTO (AP) — Kyle Lowry scored 35 points, DeMar DeRozan had 28 and the Toronto Raptors beat the Miami Heat 116-89 on Sunday in Game 7 to reach the conference finals for the first time in franchise history.

Bismack Biyombo added 17 points and 16 rebounds for the Raptors. They'll open the Eastern Conference Finals in Cleveland against LeBron James and the Cavaliers on Tuesday night. Toronto fans chanted 'We Want Cleveland!' in the seconds.
