Just ordered some fresh strawberry plants, the old ones are over 5 year old and need to go into the garden in the sunny side of the garden to go wild with the wild section.
They are year old roots so might fruit this year, any hints on best Compost to grow in tubs.

That must be where my wife has gone wrong. She gets an appalling low crop and one year a friends dog ate the ones she got.

I dismantled my times micro system. The valve shut that rapidly it eventually blew the upstream isolating valve. Full mains leak. Luckily we were in.

That’s a lovely tree, your garden looks sub tropical. The benefits of the south coast eh?

Yes, it is an advantage of living on an Island, plus we rarely get any snow. Earlier in the year we had to have a Eucalyptus tree felled as it was getting out of control and we were afraid it may fall, just as well we did after the battering of 80mph winds this year.
You can just see the Tree Surgeon up in the canopy as he was working ,,,,,,,,no way I was going there !!!SAM_0718-1.jpg

We have an eight foot forsythia in full bloom, so lots of yellow flowers will need cleaning soon. You also need to trim it after flowering so lots of small branches as well.

I’m potting up Canna lilies but it won’t go down well as they will be in the lounge bay window and I turn that radiator off so as not to overwarm them. There are also six pots of Cobaea seeds waiting to germinate. If you really want a good display these annual climbers are fantastic. The benefits to your neighbour is that being annuals they are less of an issue than Mile a Minute, but only a bit less.
