I'm on the Isle of Skye.

This month we've had 119mm of rain - 40mm in the last 24 hours. Current temperature is just over 9degC. Usually at this time of the year its not quite so wet and temperatures will start to climb next month hopefully.

Is your neighbour taking in people for B&B ? 🤭

No, they are a really nice couple thankfully.
Matt is a bit if a fitness kind of person and the building he put up is for his climbing wall !!
I have to say though, the building is amazing and I am very envious of it 😊

Actually needed suntan lotion on my bald head today. It’s been glorious. But then we don’t have the views quite the same.

Not quite lotion, but hat, SPF 40 shirt and Ray Bans when I went out for a good walk along the country lanes. It was great having some warmth. Then came the downer......mowing lawns this afternoon.

We worked all day in the garden, but never bothered cutting the lawn, but then it is plastic! 😁

The last few days have been exceptionally warm and some Orchids that had been put to one side as I thought they were dying having been left outside for a couple of years, and they are not supposed to like that, have done this instead: IMG_1998-1.jpg

The palm tree in our front garden which was 2m from our window got to about 3m high so cut it right down below the soil level, that was two years ago , now its up again already at 1 1/2 m high from a side root.

Due to forecast of freezing weather again we have brought in our three avocado trees. One is now 5 years old but still in a large pot.

I had one in our previous house but took it out along with Oleanders as they are quite toxic and I didn’t want to risk the young dogs that we had at the time.
