This was on the dog walk at Slinfold CC site.

Whoever was responsible for the dog who did this needs their noses rubbing in it. Is it any wonder that some hate dogs when the owner is too bone idle/anti-social and leaves the dogs mess under the bin.
Right opposite was a childs poster from a local school asking people to pick up and leave the path how they would wish to find it. This is sticking two fingers up to everyone and it's a pity the people are never caught and banned from keeping dogs.

Quite agree with you, it is downright laziness, and not as if the owner had to search out a bin!
In my local park, which is used a lot by children, football teams, all kinds of other sport/social activities, it always amazes me that overnight about 5 or 6 "dumps" appear as if by magic, yet there are 3 bins and usually plenty of bags available.

Mind you, I was walking my 4 and in front of me by some way were two women, so engrossed in their conversation, they failed to see their two dogs relieve themselves and just carried on walking.
They were reminded that there were two piles awaiting them................

I politely confronted such a person earier this year and was told to "F*** off or I will call the police".......this was on a site, not a public place......the dog was on a dog area so perhaps the owner was not aware...
He was the next day, when 5 days into his holiday, thrown off the site......4 other owners saw his dog do "it".
He demanded a refund but was refused.....his parting comment was..."I will see you (the site owner) in court.....I am a witness, and no citation so far.....I wonder why.......now about 6 months ago....
Aparently the dog owner had received 2 warnings from the site before my encounter....not bad in 5 days...
No wonder many sites refuse dogs........

Today walking down a footpath that horses obviously use we were confronted with a mountain of horse poo, I definetly think they should pick up the mess, but do they have to by law??

I hope that you forwarded copies of the picture to the CC and to the wardens of the site Lord B. Inconsiderate keepers of dogs get the majority who are responsible dog owners a bad name.

Sorry all, what I didn't make clear and my excuse is I posted it late at night and I'm sticking to that excuse, is that the dog walk at Slinfold is also a public right of way. This means that it's not neccessarily a CC member who is at fault but could be one of the villagers although that doesn't excuse their actions. (Or should that be the dogs motions)?
I can relate to what Damian said because our previous home backed onto a park and people talking while their dogs were roaming loose, despite it being against the local byelaws, was a regular occurence. Despite some being fined after being caught by the dog wardens it did little to stop others whose argument was dogs were roaming here before us and they should tackle vandalism and graffiti instead of bullying them. They were so dense and bigotted in their attitude they couldn't see that letting their dogs dump and leaving it there put them in the same category as the vandals.

Why I feel so strongly about this subject is the fact that I don't want to step in it as both myself and my wife did within one hour of arriving at the Bladon Chains CC site and walking our dogs.

No I didn't Parksy because of the reason I posted above although the bins have been provided by the club at either end of the site. Often the locals are worse as we found out when we had a boat on the Mon & Brec canal. The towpath at Govilon was full of dog muck, so much that we didn't walk our dogs there when stopping off at the chip shop.
