Tamworth, Bath and Cornwall

Hi,

I'm planning a few weeks in the caravan with the family this summer and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations. We're planning for two night stay around the Tamworth area to visit Drayton Manor, a night around the Bath area to break up the journey for the kids and finally a week or so down in cornwall. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Kingsbury water park near Tamworth... a C&CC Club site.

Hi Sion

Don't know about sites around Tamworth or Bath, but I can recommend the Caravan Club Site at Looe in Cornwall. Outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, crazy golf, lots of crab fishing in Looe harbour and nearby rock pools - ideal for kids!

If you are in the CC (think it might be non members as well) Capel lane site Wythall is very nice and just off M42 not too far from Tamworth/Drayton manor.

(Transport museum-old buses, next to Chapel lane as well)

Sorry should be Chapel lane site (coincidentally Capel is welsh for Chapel)

Chapel Lane is some distance from Tamworth but more importantly there are some major long term roadworks on the M42 on the stretch you would go along.

Kingsbury Water Park is 10 minutes away by car at the most and even in walking distance along the canal.The site has had loads spent on it and as the name suggests is at the huge water park.

Another option is the site at Drayton Manor itself (families only allowed) I have not seen it for years so no idea what it is like but you cant get nearer.lol
