CAN ANYONE HELP? JUST BEEN AWAY FOR FIRST TIME IN OUR 1992 SWIFT CHALLENGER. FILLED THE AQUAROLL, IMMERSED PUMP, ALL TAPS RUNNING ON THEIR OWN OK, APART FROM THE KITCHEN COLD TAP. THIS WILL ONLY RUN WHEN THE COLD TAP IN TOILET IS ON. TURN OFF TOILET TAP AND FOR SOME REASON THE KITCHEN STOPS ASWELL. THE PUMP RUNS OK ON ALL TAPS BUT DOES NOT RUN WHEN KITCHEN COLD ON.ALSO SEEM TO BE GETTING A VACUUM CREATED ON THIS KITCHEN TAP AS YOU CAN FEEL IT SUCKING AIR AFTER IT HAS BEEN ON. ALSO I CANT SEE A PRESSURE SWITCH ON WATER SUPPLY.THE PIPEWORK FROM THE PUMP FEEDS THE HOT WATER HEATER AND THE TOILET TAPS, THEN IT LOOKS LIKE THE FEED COMES FROM THERE TO THE KITCHEN. ANY ADVICE.

Peter, I hope Bryan dosn't mind me answering re the micro switch. A micro switch is a small switch that in this instance is operated by a cam on the tap when you turn it from the off position. The switches are very cheap and available at most caravan dealers. The hardest bit is normally getting at the taps as it is easier if they are removed. The switch is easy to replace it normally clips into a housing on the underside of the tap.

In your system you have 1 pump and 4 switches, any one will switch the pump on. If it is difficult to get at the tap you could just open the hot tap enough to switch the pump on and then open the cold tap for the water supply.

As an explanation - rotating the tap head both opens the valve and operates the micro-scitch to switch on the pump. So although the tap is open no water arrives. However, when you switch on another tap it's working switch turns on the pump - hep presto water at both outlets. Careful with the taps if you are having to remove them from sink or bench to get at the microswitch as they get a bit brittle with age - but all are replaceable if a bit expensive.
