tec and other european caravans

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has any information on the towing specs of these huge caravans. I know they are longer and wider than the British regulations state can be pulled by a normal 4x4, but if this is the case what kind of vehicle can tow them? Any info would be appreciated as we have seen and fallen in love with an RDK 710 but find we can't pull it with our 4 litre Grand cherokee!

I can add a few more technical details on the 710RDK:

Overall width 2.48m (so, in the UK, you'll need a vehicle with a GVW of 3500kg or more to legally be able to tow)

Overall height 2.56m, headroom inside 1.95m

Front bed size 2.18m x 1.68/1.62m

Rear bed size 2.03m x 0.5m

Middle bed size 2.03 x 1.40m

Upper bunk bed 1.78/1.48 x 0.73/0.48

Lower bunk bed 1.78/1.48 x 0.80/0.50

Have you tried Elite Caravans, the importers?

I'm sure they've got a website, if not, let me know - I teach the son of one of the bosses at Elite, and I can get hold of brochure!

I looked at the TEC at Elite and when I mentioned that it was illigal to tow the salesman said it was only illigal if I got caught.......very professional!
