Ten minuet jobs

Decided to replace gaiter on Alko hitch. Looked at Alko video and some comments from others so late afternoon started. Two hours later finished , freezing cold. Problem one taking out first bolt a tube fell out from the inner bar, looking at the end of tube guessed it was a distance piece. removing next bolt and inserting another "dummy" piece which would not align with the last bolt hole, reason the second tube had come away when withdrawing the bolt. What fun . Fitted gaiter and now am freezing . Next replace bolts at same time getting the inner tubes aligned with holes. Now wish I had Octopuses arms. That done now for the one with the dummy bolt in. The bolt went almost fully in but again the distance piece had dropped away from the hole so the bolt could not go fully in . It seemed unbelievable that I could not wiggle the bolt sufficient to align with hole. Job done and pushed hitch inwards to its fullest and let go , it did not come back right away but did eventually. Happy and safe New Year.
