Tesco in Carlisle just off J43

My question is, Will I be able to get in and out with the 'van? I want to park up and eat and shop on the way to Scotland.

Sometimes one can attempt to get into these places and get stuck (I can imagine).

I wonder how these stores feel about caravans parking (to use the store obviously)

Tesco is next to an Industrial Estate - or part of it - so you won't even need to go in the car park.

Avoid Asda in the same area - it is very cramped and tight.

Thanks

I've had a look at Google maps and can somebody confirm if it is the building on the north side of the A69?

Woody, you've worried me a bit. 'I won't NEED to go in the car park'. But I want to as I will have to wheel clamp the caravan so I can use the cafe.

Or is this a bad idea?

Ian.

We have used this Tesco quite a lot when travelling South with no problems.

When you leave at J43 keep going towards Carlisle & you will see Tesco on right hand side approx 1/2 mile from motorway.

Hi Ian

Tesco wont care where you park as any buisness is good buisness in there view, they have a store at Chichester on the south coast you should see the caravans / motorhomes in there on a Saturday morn aslong as you dont cause problems they wont care.

And (yes i do work for them)

Best Regards.

Tom.

Thanks for the tips.

We have decided to prepare a 'full english' (bacon, sausage, mushrooms and black pudd) before we go and heat it up in the oven when I stop at the services. lash 8 eggs on and tins of beans and tomatoes. Not my normal fayre, but once in a while it won't hurt me.

This is 4 blokes going to scotland for The Open. Staying at Craigie Gardens in Ayr.

Ian
