Test electrics away from car

I have just replaced the 12N and 12S connectors on the caravan and want to test they are ok. My problem is that I cant get the car up close enough to the caravan to connect to the towbar.
Any suggestions the best way to test the electrics to check side lights, indicators, etc?

Use:

the wiring diagram
2 lengths of wire
battery
a second person inside to check operation
then that person moves to the back of the van to check road lights.
