Someone tried to break into the van.
I'm trying to get it repaired by a caravan engineer really struggling i think it's because it's only a small job they don't want to know

It does look a very amatuer job. The doors are easy to enter but the thief obviously had no idea how to do it.
Very unlucky but at least the contents are intact.

Before I moved to Somerset I lived well north of Birmingham ( better not be more specific) with a single letter post code. My neighbour had three successive break-ins which looked just like this. Although the damage appears superficial, it has damaged both door and caravan side panel - the latter being the expensive part.

After the second instance he left the door of his caravan unlocked ( it was parked at home, nd nothing of value left inside) the third instance proved that this was credit where it was not due.

Unfortunately it is illegal to apply voltage to the door.

(Should have said my neighbours idea was that the lowlife would have sufficient intelligence to try the door before forcing it. As I said above, he overestimated the possession of intelligence)
