There must be hundreds of posts on this forum asking for help or advice. There are very posts in return. It would not hurt to reply letting the helpers know that the help/advice given did the trick or even no thanks. Perhaps its a sign of the times.

I agree JTS and at the risk of sounding big-headed, that is why I always acknowledge any replies so that those who have taken the trouble to respond, often at length, know that I have at least read and considered their replies. A thank you is worth a lot.

I do agree. Unfortunately sometimes we get caught by replying to the first few responses and then noticing possibly a good time after, that there were more.

Also if you reply in the comment it does not 'bump'it up so can be overlooked. No doubt this will be fixed with the new engin in 2012 :-(

Other non-caravanning forums I use have a facility for saying "thank you" very easily. I shall bring this to the attention of those currently working to prepare the new site. Thanks for bringing this point up.

Hi JTS,

I did appreciate your response to my question re- the Starcamp Quattro porch awning. I just haven't had time to read it fully and respond, as there are lots of good points and advice given.

I wanted to sit down and read / think through it properly.

I thanked the people who repsonded to my Dundee to Fort William thread as their comments were pretty much to the point and succint, so that was a quick job.

Thanks again for your reply, need to have a good read of your response, soon.

Alex.
