Just to say a big thank you for all your help and advice for our trip to France which went without a hitch and we enjoyed lots . Now we got the bug we wanting to do it again next year but a lot further south. Anyone know any great campsite's down south poss la Rochelle area poss near beach nice pool etc boys will be 9 and 6 Any advice on getting down there stops etc don't mind driving long distance etc or we could use one of the other Ferrie ports just trying to work out cheapest way thanks again

it's a good deal south of La Rochelle but have a look at Camping Rouletta at St Jean de Luz. it's almost on the Spanish border so you could do day trips into Spain - the routed down towards Pamplona is very scenic. The site has a big pool and a lake and very friendly owners. Big supermarket about 500m. Have a Google and see what you think.
It's a very popular stopping point to and from Spain and I keep promising to stay longer but never have (yet).
