Does anyone know of any good sites around Brecon?
Just wanting to pop across for the weekend, wanting showers etc... with hook up..

There is the CC at Brynich just outside Brecon, and near to the Aberbran CC site (no showers) is a CL with hower and hook up. Near Libanus about 3-4 miles from Brecon is a CL with shower and hook up. It is on road to Mountain Center (good All Day B).

We used Brynich a few years ago before the CC took it over. It is a lovely site, well positioned and excellent facilities.
Now the CC have it I expect it will be even better

thanks first place I looked was CC but the one site which is fully serviced is fully booked and the other site says it has no toilets.
not sure weather to have a closer look and risk it as we will be three...

Emmo is the one to give you info on Brecon but I haven't seen him for a while. Hope he's ok. Probably off on one of his long Royale jaunts.

We stay at Brynich for a week each year as we have relations in South Wales. The facilities are a bit dated but always clean. The site does suffer from some road noise as it is next to the A40 but the traffic dramatically reduces at night.
There is a 5 star site at Pencelli which is called Pencelli Castle. The facilities are out of this world. A bit pricey next to the canal. The Star Inn in Pencelli usesd to sell real ales.
There is a canal boat in Brecon Basin that takes trips down the canal. An exellent way to spend a couple of hours.

Bishops Meadow about 1 mile from Brecon, excellent site with a pool as well.

Lovely little 'adults only' site in Crick Howell (Riverside) 5mins walk from town and about a 15min drive to Brecon

We have stayed at Brynich again before it was taken over by Caravan Club and loved it - nice large pitches and lovely views. Went on the canal boat trip too!!!

Look up Talybont on Usk, two sites there worth considering, one a CL the other a Commercial site, super scenery
