The Camping and Caravanning Club charge YOU £75 if you don't book your ferry tickets with them when booking sites through Carefree Winter Sun

When I ask the reason for this they said it was so they could give a discount for those booking on Brittany Ferries and as a penalty for exercising my right to using my TESCO POINTS to help with the cost when using EURO TUNNEL

It seems that has in the book Animal Farm
'ALL PEOPLE ARE EQUAL BUT SOME PEOPLE ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS'

I'd recommend using your Clubcard points to get your cheap Tunnel crossing, and joining ACSI to get good value campsites IF you can go out of the High Season.

If you HAVE to go in school holidays, you can still find amazing value sites without booking ahead, unless you want to go to the most popular spots on the Med. And don't forget, you don't need to use sites at all in France, unless you want a "base" for several days.
Where does the C&CC (or the CC) fit into this? They don't! The word "motorhome" isn't in their titles - or, I suspect, their vocabulary!

Both Clubs subsidise they Overseas site operations by making a profit on ferry crossings. So in the scheme of things they have to make a level playing field so those that do book crossing don't end up subsidising those that don't book . All this can be avoided by doing everything yourself.

Have been told by very reliable source that quite a number of people who normally go to the CCC winter rallies
at La Manga & Benicassim in Spain have NOT booked with the club for next year but have reserved pitches direct with the Sites for 2015/16 at a much more lower price and no £75 surcharge.

A little unfair Tony :)
We recently had 3 weeks away staying at THSs and meets organised by the C&CC. We received a warm and friendly welcome at all of them :)
