good news I hope. You may be able to reduce your costs by using water as fuel. Have a look at http://www.runyourcarwithwater.com/?hop=1goodchoic Do you think it is feasible?

Who can prove to me that there is such a thing as global warming, etc. All I know about it is what is put over by the media be it TV or newspaper. We thought at one time that the world was flat. I am inclined to agree with the thoughts that this is a re-occurance of past times and that we are just experiencing another cycle of warming and then freezing. I do not for one minute agree with any of the b******t given out by the tree huggers and eco warriers - they are just there to scare us as they have no better thing to occupy their boring brain and life. Just look at them - they are presenting themselves as if the cat just dragged them in.

The Government have introduced new measures to try and reduce this global warming. I live in Bridgend C.B.C. area who have introduced recycling of newspaper, glass and food waste. What a load of c**p. The refuse lorry collects our normal refuse on a weekly basis and the green waste twice weekly. The lory when full, be it refuse or green waste, then drives approx. 30 miles to Swansea to discharge its contents. I do not know how many vehicles are doing this journey per day but what effect is it having on the environment compared to the savings from recycling? Also they do not recycle the material which can take quite a few years to break down ie tins and plastics whereas paper and food waste will disintegrate naturally in a few weeks. The carbon footprint of the council in this area must be huge.

I know my ranting on about this modern crazy thinking phylosophy is not going to be of any benefit except that this is one place where I can get it off my chest and speak my mind. Also I will agree that we are becoming a "police" dictitorial state where big brother is watching any petty misdemenor and ready to pounce but yet neglecting the serious criminal offences that are going on around every day. If you are caught by the nanny state you are generally given a far stiffer punishment than those commiting a serious crime.

The leadership of this country is dictated to us by a minority who think that the world will end tomorrow. Why not re-educate these idiots and get them to do a decent day's work and contribute to the economy of the country.

Well this may be a little off the point, but it does have some relevance to a comment made earlier in this discussion....in the 50's and 60's only one or two families in a street had a car....now each house as at least one, if not three cars....the difference being that in the earlier years the cars were owned outright...now 99.9% of vehicles are leased, or financed...we all run on credit. If we all had to buy a car outright today, there would be very very few gas-guzzling monstrosities on the driveways of private houses.
