Arrived on site FSP. But no water pumping through!
Done all the usual air block things. On board pump whirring away but no draw from aquaroll and nothing out of taps.
Managed to buy locally a new Whale pump, fitted , no water.
Now thinking one of the 3 way valves has failed. Will check it later. Fortunately I do have a spare.
Have I missed anything??
Someone said the other day , every time you go away something breaks🥴

😲Check the filters on the tap ends to make sure that they are not blocked. Probably not this, but worth covering the basics.
In the meantime Drink Beer

Has the end of the pick-up pipe floated upwards to the top of the water level? Happened to me before & just draws in air.

Thanks everyone. All great suggestions which I have double checked. All ok thanks. A fresh approach in the morning I think. But I must get it going tomorrow. Whilst we are FSP No on site facilities😄 which we are used to.

Check the filters in the three way valves.

You can bypass them as well by going direct from outside to pump.

Also it could be the filter in the barrel has broken up and the innards have got into the filters 🤔

I am thinking a split in a feed pipe to the pump causing a draw of air rather than water.
Are you getting "splutering" from the taps.

Well well . Bought a new pump, At Leominster. Very lucky. Removed both 3 way valves . And there was the problem. Both contain micro mesh filters . All blocked up. All cleaned , installed new pump, old one is 15 yrs old. Brilliant we have running water again , a spare pump and a new spare 3 way valve. Thanks to everyone for all the advice. When it happens on site you feel isolated!

Now you know why we never drink any water or make any drinks from the caravan water system 🤮

I thought my Puriclean and Milton would have stopped the sludge build up. 😢😢
It’s so clean now. Steve even you will be safe.

Back to all the offers of very constructive help thank you . No Wi-Fi didn’t help. I made the Classic error yesterday afternoon of jumping to conclusions. As Hutch knows any caravan issue needs to be investigated inch by inch from in my case the Aquaroll. After a good nights sleep sensible diagnostics worked.

A good outcome, but seriously after 15 years usage even using Puriclean or Milton it’s not too bad, and your body’s resistance clearly improved as sludge built up. It probably contributed to improving your biome. 😂

Both the products you list will kill algae and help to render the system clean enough to take potable water and to some extent it will un anchor algae from its foot hold in the pipes, but it doesn't magically make the sludge disappear. The sludge will be a combination of the algae's remains, and any impurities, like lime scale, dust and detritus that's in the water from the tap or water container.

It makes you wonder what the house system is like. We grew up in an old house with lead pipes.
