HELO THERE IM JUST ASKING WHAT A DECENT TOWCAR WOULD BE I HAVE 2500 TO SPEND AND WILL BE TOWING A BAILEY RANGER 5 BERTH I HAVE LOOKED AT A COUPLE OF NISSAN TERRANO BUT THEY SEEM TO HAVE A LOT OF FAULTS AND LAND ROVERS ARE WAY OVER PRICED FOR WHAT YOU GET THANKS.

dont bother with a 4X4,its not needed for a bailey ranger,ok you sit a little higher and if you want to go rallying they may be an advantage pulling you out of the mud,but towing you are in the 20-26 mpg territory,go for a decent family est car ,Mondeo,Vectra,Laguna with a 2 ltr diesel engine,all you need ,30-35 mpg cheaper all round.be a good 80% match against your van.

But to your question;

Without knowing the MTPLM of your caravan, the advice offered her can at best just be a guide, as it is essential that you understand the max weight of caravan a car can tow is set out by the car manufacturer.

And whilst many choices of car are decided by the towing weights, there is much more to achieving a good outfit than just the weights. So please give as much detail as possible.
