can anybody recommend a good site for the area around Rockingham race cicuit. Must have facilities. Dont mind travelling within reason.
 
Don't know if you've been there Geordie, but the place is in the middle of an industrial area. Hopefuly they have at last sorted traffic management for coming and more importantly going.

Last big event we did there I had to do after race dinner with the clients and sponsors. And we took at least an hour to clear the car park and crawled all the way to the nearest northern M1 Junction as the roads south were not moving.

If it's a big event I suggest something not to far away due to potential traffic problems ;-)
 
Cris, I havent been there, although watched many of the televised ascar meetings. As you'll probably know a lot of those drivers are ex oval racing guys ( mainly National Hot Rods )and there is a 3 day racing event in September with a few oval formula racing including the Rods and the awesome BRISCA F1 stockies. Trying to find a caravan site nearhand is almost impossible.
