It has been the wettest July since 1914 in the North West Region due to the region receiving 203% of its Long Term Average (LTA) rainfall.

Outlook

The forecast for August is for rainfall to be near or above average with the possibility of some spells of fine weather at times throughout the month.

Let's hope for some decent weather for the remaining weeks of our 'summer'.

The forecast indicates the midges will lessen slightly by the weekend. If it isn't the rain......

Been in York this week at Rowntree Park CC site.Beautiful weather, couldn't ask for more.

just had 2 weeks in great yarmouth only rained one morning! it was sunny everyday. in fact we did 1 one week hol and a 2 week one there last year and it was beautiful both times. we have been very lucky with the weather. btw i used to go camping in the dordogne france when i was little and it was very hot there! we have been thinking of it but i think our kids are too little and it would be too warm yet

Been to Newquay for 2 weeks just come back weather lovely for most of it i got a lovely tan.
