No snow in Glasgow.....just sunshine and blue skies.....can't be bad .Just as well as we are full of the cold and a bit under the weather as they say.Also been looking after our 2yr.old grandson who has the chickenpox and his 4yr brother has yet to show symptons!! God, I love being a granny 😱) 😱)

Well our forecast for today was cloudy, did they get it right? Did they hell as like :O( It was snowing when we got up and its now gone 4pm and it hasn't stopped. According to the local radio station Hereford is at gridlock. Two hills either side of Hereford on the A49 have been closed, one due to a jack knifed lorry. One driver phoned in to say he had travelled 3 yards in 40 minutes.
Update..... another hill is now blocked outside of Hereford. A milk tanker is stuck and although a tractor is trying to tow it its refusing to budge. The police are telling people to get out of their cars and go to a local British Legion building. The snow ploughs cant get through either, why, because of all the cars blocking their path -- hehheh! Talk about Fred Karno's Army.
Four coaches of years 8 & 9 pupils from Bryntirion Comp. in Bridgend on the way home from Llangranog got stuck in traffic at Nantycwys for almost 5 hours without food or drinks. They were supposed to arrive at the school at 3:00pm but eventually arrived at 7:45pm. Two articulated loories jack-knifed on the A48. This only goes to reinforce my theory that heavy goods should go by train - very rare have train jack-knifed. They arrived home cold, hungry and thirsty - one consolation my grand-daughter was tired so it will be an early night for her and a bit of peace and quiet for us grand parents.

It's thawing now so plenty of snow melt for the peasants to drink ;O)
I was unlucky enough to get stuck on the A44 at Bromyard downs. This was due to a jack knifed lorry. After two hours of patiently waiting the road was sort of cleared.
We had to wind our way past a dozen stranded empty lorries and a couple of dozen abandoned cars.
Yet my trusty Renault 5 never got stuck once even when I had to stop on Brockhampton hill (1 in 8) and do a hill start.
Typical of Britain though a few cm of snow and we are knackered.
Trouble is people don't have a scooby doo of how to cope with adversity they just know how to panic and over react.
