Theford model N80EL

Hi all I'm new to caravanning, I have a 3 way fridge, work's fine on hook up but can not get it to work on gas. I've done the purge, all the cooker works so gas is getting through, there is a constant clicking when switched into gas mode and the line goes into the green but drops back down as soon as I release it. The caravan is 2004 Sterling Europa 500

Have you checked that isolation taps are open? In my pan locker beneath the oven in my case - the previous owner may have left it ‘off’ and only used it on electricity. The tap usually is on when in line with the supply.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

My guess is that the thermocouple is either broken, or not properly in the flame. The fridge might have to be removed to gain access.

There has been a very similar thread to this. For other causes and actions please see

If the caravan was bought recently from a dealer then it is the responsibility of the dealer to resolve the issue which should have been done prior to collection.
If bought privately it may be a good idea to get it serviced as soon as possible for the sake of your family.
