Thetfhord Refrigerator Seal

Hi All.
I am having problems with my refrigerator. Its a Thetford N80. The problem is that when the fridge is opened and then closed, the door has to be also hit at the bottom of the door so that the seal will attach to the frame. If the bottom of the fridge is not hit the seal does not go into the correct position and the fridge does not cool.
Has anyone else had this problem and sorted it out. Hopefully I don't need a new seal as they are not sold separately and I would have to buy a new door at massive cost.

Hi Rory

Starting with the simple solution are you absolutely certain there is nothing lurking on the floor or bottom of door inhibiting correct closure?
I have a rucked up carpet causing this problem.

Have you made sure the travel locking catch located below the front edge of the fridge (on the side the door closes onto) is in the unlocked position?

Is the door actually aligned ok - the alignment can move - I think it might be a fridge out job to realign.
