Thetford fridge

A friend of mine has got a Avondale 545/4 one of the last to come out of the factory its fitted with a Thetford fridge N80 when its on gas it make a roaring noise and sound like its using a lot of gas is this normal for the thetford fridge.

Hi John, These fridges do tend to "roar" when first lit on maximum, should quiten down after a sort period, if not you need to get it checked by a competant engineer

thanks Metz he does leave it on full should he turn it down after a bit

I would get it checked out. I have the same fridge and although I rarely use the gas side of it, I do not recall any excessive 'roaring'. It maybe the burner is needing cleaned or replaced.

Better safe than sorry.
