Thetford loo flush

Morning all, thought I'd ask while waiting for my breakfast a quick question, I have a Bailey ranger with thetford loo with manual flush, the type with a handle on top of what I'll call the cistern, last time out worked great but this time it's flushing but very poorly, doesn't seem to be any resistance when I push the handle down, I suspect it's a bit like a bike pump and has some sort of rubber bung on it that simply pushes the water and maybe it's due for replacement, if so how is access gained, there's a couple of screws under the handle which is a possibility but as I'm away I don't wanna undo them if wrong as I have a flush albeit a poor one so don't really want no flush if I'm wrong, any ideas?

Your flush works on a bellows system and depending on which model of toilet you have it may be the bottom end of the pump has split, or there is a hole in the bellows.

The pump unit is easily replaced. A new one is around £25. Take out the two screws under the handle but the curved plate beneath the plunger is held by double sided sticky tape. The new unit has tape already fixed. Then its simply a matter of removing plastic tubing from the old to the new. Cheers guys, I think I'll suffer it till home in a couple of days then dismantle it and have a look, at least I've still got a flush of sorts and once home I've got a couple of weeks before out again, sounds like a straightforward job and having left all the paperwork for van at home I can see which model I've got once home, hope everyone has had as great a bank holiday as we have, turned a bank holiday into a 6 day jolly which has been brilliant, eating, drinking and relaxing with a fishing rod at the side of a lake, caravanning is without a doubt a most enjoyable pastime.
