Thetford toilet C2

Having a little difficulty, anybody got any tips? The flush and valve opener knob is not activating the valve blade opener. I can see it turning from below when the waste cassette is removed and I can turn the valve blade opener by hand with alittle pressure but once the unit is complete i just feel resistance then a click but the blade does not move, assume the two are not meeting correctly? thanks, steve.

Hi Stephen, Sounds like the turnwheel is turning in it's socket, you need to take the cover of underneath the toilet, you'll be able to see where the spindle enters it's socket, you can either buy a new part or drill a small hole through the socket wall and into the spindle and put a small self tapper through, I will warn you though it is a fiddly job to do.
