But there is an english language guide to the Vendee usually on sale in LeClerc or Intermarche supermarkets which is excellent. Sorry can't remember name.

Hi The waterpark at St Hillaire is very good and there is lots to do in that area although in our opinion it was very commercial - a bit like Blackpool without the kisss me quick hats. We went two years ago in August and it was very very hot. If it is your first time camping in the Vendee or in fact anywhere in France you will find the children will entain themselves most of the time. We have been going more or less every year since our daughter was 2 ( she is now 17!) We have been all over France and sorry to put you off but St John de Monts area was out least favourite!
