Well, we visited someone there on a cold dark winters evening. I can't comment on access for a van as I didn't really notice. The plus side it is easy to find, no scary roads or anything.

From what I remember, the toilet block wasn't all that warm (but it was winter), the site was a bit dark at night (not many lights). Pitches not overly big.

Can't comment on the play area.

If you'd like me to do a reccie for you, let me know.

They did have a small pool on the site.

Hi Jo

For clarification purposes:

The power station is at Ratcliffe-on-Soar - some 14 miles away. The site is near Cotgrave country park which is a nice place to cycle or walk the dog and take children to.

There is a very small travellers site about 1.5 miles away situated quite close to the RSPCA shelter.

I wasn't really impressed with the site to be honest, but can only judge that on my one visit on a cold winters night.

I guess this site is off your list now but you haven't actually said that.

Hope the above reply satisfies the two old duffers.

Lisa
Jo and her better half ain't that old, not sure if they're duffers or not though.

Now after apologising go sit on my chair in the corner, say 100 'Hail Windy's' and gargle on holy maids water for being rude.
