Never actually stayed at this site or had any experience of the touring area but seen the statics Its quite a big site the statics I assume must be at the entrance as I cant remember even seeing a touring van

It has all the normal Haven entertainment with plenty of activities for the kids organised and not, bars etc for the adults

The site is smack bang next door to the Pleassure Island amusement park which depending on the kids may prove an other entertainment

If I remember its not really walkable into Cleethorpes which is only small anyway

I imagine it will gwt really busy in August, noy my cup of tea anymore as my kids are now past the Bradley Bear stage but should provide enough for you and happy kids make a much better holiday for all

hi there, I have stayed at this park in a static caravan a couple of times with my family. We quite like the site, it has the usual Haven facilities, it is a large park mainly static caravans old and new, some area's were very crammed in, where other area's around the park were very nice and pretty, can't remember the touring area very much but did have hardstanding with electric and water hook up I think! I beleive it used to accept tent campers also but stopped this in favour of upgrading its touring caravan facitities. The site is well set back from the road down a long private drive, it has direct access onto a beach from the park, also just along the road from the park are various facilities including a 24 Hr Tesco, Play Towers which is a large indoor soft play area for kids 0 - 10 years(ish)with lots of slides etc, leisure pool on and off the park, park nearby with lake, ducks and swans. handy for Cleethorpes town and Grimsby for shopping. Overall we do like the area and the park, you just can't help sometimes the people that get there as with all parks from time to time. Hope this helps any other questions just ask! Andrew

HI DAVIE

I have not been to thorpe park and i dont know if you are staying in a static or tourer but two years ago took my grandchildren to havens prestatyn site in my tourer and the conditions were disgusting.

the caravans were very close and the toilets were filthy.

iwrote to them and was told that there would be great improvements so we went to reighton sands last year and had to tolerate the same conditions.

The kids will enjoy the entertainment so i hope you stay in a static

Hi Davie

We stayed at thorpe sands in october last year the site is quite good the pitches are ok we booked a euro pitch. The staff are very friendly and the entertainment is ok. There are only four showers but the warden keeps them very clean and the site as a whole is very well run. The beach is not that picturesque and cleethorpes itself is a bit rough and ready. Thorpe park is a lot better than the other haven park at primrose valley which you should avoid like the plague. hope this helps .
