Unremovable fridge element

Hello , can anyone advise me , I have a thedford fridge with the 240v element tripping electric .
I have went to remove but it is absolutely siezed and unlikely to come out without drilling .
Has anyone thought of putting a new tube receiver beside the original and bypassing the old one ?

Its good that you managed to sort it , I have had similar issues with one old fridge , eventually I just strapped the new heater to the fridge tubes with nickel wire and copper strips . The insulation around the heaters and fridge pipe ensures the heat generated is transferred to the ammonia/water mix.Next time I'll try that Coca cola trick , although it might not look too professional so may decant it into another bottle marked easing oil!
