anyone experienced time wasters? why do they do it?

if any of these ring a bell to anyone out there please get a life

not now in a position to proceed(despite keeping me on a string for about three weeks and wanting to send a holding deposit - lucky I didn't accept or I'd be holding forever)

can't find a seasonal pitch for next March (despit having somewhere to store over winter)

too complex now because need to change the car (despite my having gone to the bother of ringing round to arrange temporary storage)

just realised its an l shaped lounge (despite the photos on the ad clearly showing this)

my time is precious

sian I can't fully understand your post but, like martin, I assume you are selling your caravan by advertising it. If so why didn't you accept an holding deposit off them, at least you would have something for the stress they have caused you.

I agree with LB .......... simply make it clear that the deposit is NON REFUNDABLE and will be forfeit if the transaction is not completed within a certain time.
