If I get some Izal for the van the OH might not want to use the van loo, Izal here we come. Can you get it on a roll, another thing it will double up as tracing paper for the grandchildren, killing two birds with one stone here.

No-one has mentioned Bronco.
This was father of Izal. But coming as it did post-war it followed the Daily Sketch torn into squares with a string through it. After this Bronco was the very height of luxury.

Fold it, fold it, fold it again and then fold it again

That's 4 times, but did you know it's a physical impossibility to fold a piece of paper more than 7 times?
My mind is full of cr*p

I can't say that I've ever used dock leaves for the purposes under discussion in this thread but dock leaves are a very good antidote to stinging nettles.
There is some sort of acid-alkaline chemistry between dock leaves and nettles because as kids if one of us fell into 'the stingers' a freshly picked dock leaf would sooth the effects straight away.

Sprocket Bronco! Stunning never heard of that one.

Strange whenever there is a thread on a caravan forum about loo rolls, it goes on and on and on.

Talking of Izal. When I was at school we used to use it as *** paper and roll tea leaves in it it tasted rank but we did have a *** out of it.
On A brighter note Gagger Kev and myself are useing Blue Diamond chemicals it works very well especially with these Thetfords where the light sometimes doesnt work.Aldi have had it in at £6 a 2 ltr bottle ,blue and pink but again as Parksy has already said the secret is the amount of water you put in the cassete with the blue .

Well now I have mentioned the dock leaf that has blown any chance of me being accepted in to the wooosie circle! Parksy, two birds one stone springs to mind, whilst in the crouching position there is every chance that your derriere might come into contact with the said dreaded stinging nettles, to the rescue, the dock leaf, double action in one sweeping movement! :)

Back to back terraced houses were very common when I was a lad (we didn't live in one thank the Lord) so we were never far from a toilet if the need arose, which given our austerity diet at the time was a very rare occurrence.
The Sunday Pictorial or Renolds News cut into squares and impaled on a nail in the wooden door was luxury if there was a choice between an outside lavvy or an al fresco performance.

Dock leaf now you are taking me back to my childhood. I remember wiping my bum and rubbing them on nettle stings, from what I remember it did very little for the nettle stings but stop skid marks on my undies.

Talking of stinging nettles and toilets reminds me of my time at school. We had what was known as earth toilets and there was a trap door at hte back where all the s--- was cleaned out. We waited until a girl went to the toilet, opened the trap door and stung the bare bum with nettles. I can assure you this is a true story. Ken

We used the Daily Herald or Titbits.
