A tip I learnt whilst RVing in the States. Before starting a trip empty a bag of ice in the toilet which will scrape the bottom whilst travelling. Every edge to cleanliness helps.

I refuse to use the toilet whilst in motion (pardon the pun) so theres no chance of my bottom being scraped :O)
