Have done route from Calais to Les Sables d'Olonnes on Mappy and Michelin and there is a big difference in Toll costs with Mappy being E29.30 and Michelin being E113.81.This seems mainly the A28 stretch which charges E42.80 for what seems like 54 miles. The Mappy site uses the N138 but takes about an hour longer.Has anybody got an inbetween route and cost, about £100 each way seems a lot for tolls,if Mappy is accurate thats £60 an hour.

Don't know whether this will help but in March I travelled home with car and caravan from Spain. I wouldn't normally use the A28 from Tour to Rouen - the N roads are very good - but because of the time factor I did. I was horrified to have to pay 42.70 Euros for the section.

Mant thanks all,am a bit worried now as Euros site gives the same as Mappy E29.30 but as John says Michelin quote E42.80 which is a bit frightening.Think I'll stick with the N roads for that bit its near enough
