Top up or replace Alde heating fluid?

Our (blue) Alde heating fluid is on 'minimum' when cold and left for a day or so.
I've seen on the internet that pink fluid is recommended. The van is a 2021 model but new to us from a dealership about months ago.
Should I top it up or arrange for it to be filled with pink stuff?
 
Surprised it's blue in a 2021 van.
Has it been changed yet as it's normally due after 3 years.
My 2017 van started blue but was changed to pink in 2020, I've just had the fluid replaced again at this years service.
If it was my van Iwould get it flushed and changed to the G23 stuff.
 
We have a 2023 Adria Adora Seine with Alde heating. I thought the fluid had to be changed every 5 years. Have I got that wrong? TIA.
Depends on the colour - the pink/lilac is longlife and needs replacing every 5 years but the blue needs replacing at 2 years.

I wonder how many owners change their car coolant at the same frequency - they use the same fluids as caravans as most engines have a mix of steel and aluminium. I've just had my car's coolant changed for the first time at 9.5 years old.

There is a theory, often promoted, that the dissolved oxygen in the water part of the coolant is long gone after 2 years and that changing the fluid is pointless

Whilst I basically agree with the sentiment in your post, there is a very significant difference in the Alde and most modern automotive applications, in respect to the challenges placed on the "antifreeze's" corrosion inhibitors, their life critical aspect.
Our cars, mostly these days, have sealed systems, they don't breath atmospheric air in and out, however the Alde does every time it cools it draws a new air charge into the header's void; that makes a difference on its corrosion protecting abilities.

For the OP, my recommendation is to use Comma Xtreme G40, [or GG40 is environmentally better] which despite its name is a genuine VW G13 specification antifreeze, and one readily available retail, such as from Halfords.

Just check the Alde tank and it on minimum and looks like the colour is pink longlife so does it need a top up to maximum πŸ‘
 
No! The Alde fluid level should be set to 10mm above the minimum level when cold as it expands as it warms up - and shouldn't be above the maximum even when the heating is on full blast.
