torque wrench

Hi all,

I would like to check how tight my wheel nuts are using a calibrated torque wrench, especially if I have to change the wheel in the wilds of nowhere.

I'm not sure what to get - some articles talk about things which cost up to £200, and there are little things on e-bay for £1! It's not something I'm going to use much, and I don't want something huge and heavy.

Also, how do you mark your correct setting on the nut once you have it sorted?

Many years ago, I worked for a company that made torque wrenches called Norbar. They make many other brands including alko, as well. We use to check all of these different types of torque wrenches.
