Hi there,
We are currently considering and looking at the possibility of touring Scotland, Starting with the Bunree CC site then onto Morvich at Shiel Bridge, we then intend to tour towards Ullapool and the north west before heading around the top for a few days at Dunnet Bay CC site, afterwards we'll make our way back down the eastern side of Scotland, towards Edinburgh.
I'm looking for advice of good sites on route other than the few i've mentioned, we are a member of both clubs.
Also what are the roads like in Scotland, mainly once you get further North around Ullapool up over, obviously whilst towing 22ft single axle caravan.
How long would you give yourself, we intend to stay at most main sites for 2 or 3 days with the possibility of overnighters enroute if required.
Another option should this prove to much to do in one go on a limited time factor we may go as far North as Inverness then come back down.
Any general advice will be much appreciated and if anyone has done this before i would love to hear your views and recommendations of where to go and stay etc.
Many Thanks
Andrew.
