Touring caravan European Insurance for 12 months

Help! I am desperate to find an insurance for 12 months in Europe my husband and I are going to be "OAP Gappers" and travel Europe for one year but no one wants to cover the caravan we hope to be leaving first week of March so time is a little tight

We have been looking at different options for long term caravan insurance to travel in Europe. A company called Stuart Collins came up on Yahoo search engine. I don't know anyone who has used them but it might be worth a look. We have decided to do two shorter trips each year and insured our caravan through our car insurer, the NFU.

We are new to caravanning but there are many experienced people on this site, hopefully someone may be able to advise you on this matter.

I read your post with huge interest today - yes 365 days EU cover is a problem.

I am from Cover4Caravans and have just spoken to one of our Insurers. We would normally only offer cover for 240 days but I have rung my Underwriter and they have advised that if we can provide them with full details of your itinery then they would consider extending the cover for you - no promises though at this time.

I would need to know the coutries you are visiting and a general back ground of the visits etc the more detail the better.

However before you do this you need to make sure you have a Caravan we would cover, ring my Manager Mike Stammers on free phone 0800 9707172 and we can establish that first and then go from there.

Apologies for advertising ourselves this way but I am just trying to help.
