I do not think you need to be too concerned, unless you plan to venture well off the beaten track. I agree most articles are by motorhomers, but I have seen at least one by a caravanner. The easiest way to get there is by ferry from Venice to Patras, however you can also go from Brindisi or Bari if you wish todrive down Italy. The ferry from Venice is run by Minoan Linea and you can sleep in your own van on their camping deck. They give you showers and EHU. Many people then drive down to the Peloponese along the coast where there are many sites. Depending on the time of year these can be quiet, or busy. Facilites are variable from iffy to excellent. The Greeks do have a wonderful laid back living style which makes the lack of good facilites seem less important. I do not have personal experience of taking a van to Greece, but have 'paperdriven' the route a few times just in case I feel Spain is not what I wish.
Just make sure you have plenty of shade either from trees or with a good sunshade. Oh, and if you do decide, then please keep copious notes and tell us on your return,.
