touring in Rep. of Ireland

Hi Everyone,

Thinking of touring in Republic of Ireland next year. Would appreciate any information on good sites, state of roads, what you can and cannot take with you, gas, electric etc.

Many thanks,

Pete.

We went for two weeks in mid-May 2003 from Pembroke Dock to Rosslare. We loved the whole place, and were very lucky with the weather. Roads, both main and secondary, vary from reasonable to awful. Very few lay-bys/stopping places except in scenic areas like the Ring of Kerry. Virtually no motorways or dual carriageways. Petrol/diesel very cheap and available everywhere. Driving very relaxed/no-hassle, and everywhere is spotlessly clean. People generally helpful and friendly. For sites, there's a book available from the Caravan Club free to members or for about
