Any recommendations for a family friendly site that offers touring pitches ( for us) plus static hire ( for daughters and assorted grandchildren). Decent Play area and not too far from the coast would be good. Not Haven or similar big parks. Don’t need a bar/entertainment etc.
Thanks in Advance

That’s a tough call Mel. We were near Bigbury on sea last month. Near the sea is a massive “Haven “ style place. Not for us. We used a small CL but nearby was this. Not actually on the coast but close to the lovely Bigbury beaches.
I haven’t stayed but it certainly ticks most boxes. Is Northumberland too far?

Plenty of such places around Brean near Weston so right on the coast with dog friendly beaches. Try Northam farm, Warren farm, Unity etc as they all have touring sites plus statics.

Sunny Lyn is a nicely sited one near Lynton, My father had his static at a nearby site called Beggars Roost but I’m not sure that it is still going as the Beggar Roost pub has permanently closed and they owned the site.

Thank you guys. Will check them all out. Northumberland is not too far so any good suggestions for sites there would be welcome.
Keep all ideas coming.

Ah so! Northumberland!
Well Mel this place will take some beating for your requirements. South Meadows, Belford . Hutch has also used it. Most caravan pitches are FSP if you ask.
Beaches , Lindisfarne and boat trips around the Farne Islands are legendary.

Thank you one and all. Lots to go on. May be back to drawing board as teenagers may now not be coming. Like the look of the Northumberland parks especially but no availability on our dates. Will work something out.
Many thanks

This one is also excellent but about 10 miles from the beach . Wooler is a quaint little town with all the usual shops and facilities
