Tow bar fitting costs

Hello Guys

Another question for you. Just out of interest what sort of price did you pay to have a tow bar fitted with the new 13pin plug

I am looking at having a detachable fitted because of my reversing sensers with a 13 pin plug (then get the van converted if it still have the old 12 pin). So far I have been qouted from Volvo 500 quid (sorry was that 500 quid you said!) and 350 quid.

I'm just asking but I'm sure when I lived up north and had my BMW done it was only 150 quid all in.

Recently had my Audi done but withe the dual electrics not 13pin and it varied also. The big national companies charged the most anything from £350+ (didnt even dare asking Audi!) and in the end i went with a local shop who come out and fit at your home/work etc for £225

Hi Just asked our local tow bar centre for a price for our new car quoted us 225.00 for an ordinary one and over 330 for a detactable one.

After ringing around I finally went with andover towbars and getting a detached bar with twin electrics fitting at my home for 355 quid.......after all the rest qouted me silly amounts for the same service.

Sometimes I hate living in the south

I shopped around and played all the towbar shops off against one another - bought the bar from them for £70 and then the electrics from Towsure for < £20
Fitted it myself on a sunny afternoon, thus saving small fortune!
