help please

i am trying to get into the caravan life,I have brought loads of caravan books but they do not give a list of used caravans weights for towing.i have a vauxhall vectra 2.0 tdi can anyone give me advice on how to match my car to a used caravans list so that my wife and i can go looking for the right caravan for her.
 
A Vectra 2.0DTI may tow up to 1500kg but for someone new to towing it would be advisable to stay well below that figure. The 85% recommendation that is often quoted (i.e. 85% of the kerbweight, which, in the case of your Vectra is 1510kg) would give you a maximum of around 1300kg. Which caravans fall within this limit can be found by searching an appropriate database such as http://www.cuddles.abelgratis.net/vandata.htm

My Vectra 2.0DTI weighs in at 1420kgs therefore the 85% comes out at 1207kgs
