Tow car for Ace Jubilee Courier

I am the new proud owner of a Ace Jubilee Courier (2005).

My current vehicle (VW Caravelle 2.5 Tdi Auto), isn't ideal for towing this van and I am looking to change.

I don't particularly want to go 4x4, however if I must, so be it. Can anyone (Courier owner?) suggest a suitable vehicle please?

Seat Alhambra 1.9TD - good weight match for your van and excellent towcar - we pull a 1710 Kg TA with one no problems.

Very good on fuel as well.

Just wonderd whats's wrong with the Caravelle? My friends tow a twin axle with an Auto TDI VW crew style van and rate it very highly.

mine is a T4 (2001) with a 65Kw output which makes it struggle at the slightest of hills. We went to Devon over New Year and we had difficulty in maintaining 50mph.

thanks for that, I really don't want to go 4x4 and the kids like the people carier, so maybe an Alhambra is a good choice.
