Hello Sydney

No one can tell if a any particular combination tow car and trailer will be a good match based solely on weights. Its dependant on whole host of factors of which weights are just a small part.

In relation to matching it is always better to keep the weight of a trailer as small as possible, and the industry does offer guidance and suggest aiming at max caravan weight not exceeding 85% of the tow vehicles unladen weight.

Draw your own conclusions.

As the Prof says you cannot judge the combination just on weights, but having said that the MTPLM of the caravan is very close to the kerb weight of the caravan and certainly for a beginner does not look a good match and is very tight for an experienced caravanner. It may be the exception but I would not risk it.
Never regard the towing capacity as a guide to the suitability of a car for towing a caravan. The figure is what weight the car can restart five times on a 12% hill and has nothing to do with the reality of towing a large flat sided trailer down a motorway on a windy day.
Personally I would look for a lighter caravan if you are just starting out.
