Does anyone have any experience of towing with Suzuki Grand Vitara with either the 1.6, 2.0ltr, or 2.00td engine. Kerb weight of current van is 875kg MTLP of 1100kg.
 
I tow with a Grand Vitara 2.0TD. The kerb weight is 1520 Kgs. I tow a Bailey Pageant Monarch which has a maximum weight of 1250 kgs. I have no problem towing and once on dual carriageway or motorway manage to stay in 5th gear most of the way.
 
Hi Martin, Forget the 1.6-1.8 diesel go for the 2.lt td upward, we got a Diahatsu Fourtrax 2.8 TD, it 14 years old we get 33-35 solo, 25-27 towing, best tow car we had for years ,Good Luck. Trevor
