I have recently inherited a 1984 Abi Monza caravan with Al-Ko running gear.

The tow hitch appears to have far too much play. Are the draw bar bushes replaceable? Has anyone DIY experience of overhauling the draw bar assembly?
 
Adjustment of the brake drums and brake linkage may be all that's needed.

Get the caravan serviced, that'll include brake adjustment.

Otherwise the hitch may be worn out and need replacing.
