I've got a PCT flange towbar fitted to my 2011 Astra Sports Tourer.
I'm not sure if what I'm about to describe is a problem or not, so would be grateful for your views.
The neck of the towbar is attached to the beam below the bumper with 2 nuts and bolts. The nut and bolt nearest the back of the car also has the electric socket plate attached. The electric socket plate had moved so when I put a socket set on the bolt to untighten them, both the nut and bolt moved together along with the electric socket plate (I hadn't got a spanner on the bolt at this point). The other nut and bolt does the same when I put a socket set on the bolt.
I'm no engineer, the neck seems attached solidly, but I would have expected there to have been no movement in the bolts without putting a major amount of pressure on them (not just me using one arm)! I've got a young family so just looking for a bit of reassurance from a safety point of view.
